Firstly unscrew the white cable from the back of the tivo box or super hub broadband box this has a familiar same fitting f connection on the back.

A wired home network is when you connect your computer or other compatible device to your virgin media hub or super hub with an ethernet cable.
Because the pc is in another room it s not exactly easy to change the cable which is why i tried with a laptop which by the way doesn t have a 1 gigabit nic.
Grab the end of the white co axial cable and connect to the pokey out socket on the hub.
I ve called customer services to which i was transferred to gadget rescue as virgin insist it must be a problem with my computer despite the ethernet cables and ports working on my computer as recently as 15 minutes before i installed the new hub this would be fine if it wasn t for the fact.

To protect the hub 3 from being accessed wirelessly by someone unauthorised you may wish to change your wifi network name or password.
Just me bumping this again.
Then with the new length of cable attach the male end again to the back of the box and the opposite end re attach the existing cable into the joining coupler female end.
In that case i would try another port on the router if that doesn t resolve it then change the ethernet cable if the issue remains then whatever is on the other end of that cable is causing some sort of problem.
Just tested again and it s 87 43mpbs.
The last recorded test i ve got on the old hub from the pc was 201mpbs.
So when plugging 2nd device into hub it causes not internet.
This could be the superhub 4 the follow up to the super hub 3.
So to summarise the only change to my setup is the new hub 3.
Existing virgin media customers can now get their hands on a brand new router if they want to new customers get it by.
Step 3 connect the co axial cable to your new hub.
Then connect the plug into the nearest wall socket and switch it on.
